Wet Chemical Extinguishers

Wet Chemical Extinguishers are the only safe way to tackle deep fat fryer fires and pan fires other than with a fire blanket. The extinguisher comes with an application lance which allows the user to extinguish the fire while standing safely away from the fire. The chemical forms a cooling foam carpet on the burning oil and quickly stifles the flames by excluding oxygen. Wet chemicals are usually used by all professional kitchens but can also be used in the home.
