Wet Chemical Extinguishers
Fires involving deep fat fryers can be very dangerous in commercial kitchens and in the home. This type of fire can only be extinguished with by Class F rated fire extinguishers. We stock a variety of wet chemical extinguishers, which due to their high Class F ratings, are ideal for use in kitchens. These units have a distinctive yellow label, and contain a potassium-based solution, which fights fires by cooling the flames with a mist, then smothering them to prevent reignition. Wet chemical extinguishers also have Class A ratings (solid combustibles) and some have Class B (flammable liquid) ratings, and / or are safe for use on electrical equipment.
