20-Step Process

Our refurbished CO2 fire extinguishers are subjected to intensive testing during the refurbishment process. The 20 step process involves stress and pressure tests to ensure the integrity of the cylinder, sand-blasting, re-painting and labelling, and the installation of a brand new head valve assembly.

  1. Discharge of CO2 gas
  2. Remove valve
  3. Inspect cylinder
  4. Remove labels
  5. Internally check cylinder
  6. Pressure test cylinder
  7. Shot blast cylinder
  8. Finish any paint remaining
  9. Weigh cylinder
  10. Date stamp cylinder
  11. Record cylinder details
  12. Epoxy paint cylinder
  13. Move to assembly area
  14. Assemble CO2 valve
  15. Fit valve assembly
  16. Label cylinder
  17. Fill cylinder
  18. 24-hour pressure check
  19. Box extinguisher
  20. Send to stores for dispatch
